My 2 year old cat Alice, having been missing for 2 days, came home sunday bloody and unable to use her back left leg. We took her to the vet and they informed us she has the classic symptoms of being hit by a car. She has a transverse fracture of her left femur, which essentially means her femur is snapped in half. Ideally she is in need of surgery, our second option is to splint it however we are completely unable to pay for either of these. At the present our only alternative is to put her in strict confinement and hope desperately it naturally heals in such a way that won’t leave her in pain or isn’t too drastically crooked because otherwise we are going to have to amputate it or at best leave her with a partially-functional crooked leg. I am in critical need of the money to help her. she is the sweetest thing and i earnestly don’t want the rest of her life to be impaired or handicapped. i just want my baby to be out of pain and back to normal in the quickest and best way possible, so anything anyone can do to help, no matter how big or small i would be PROFOUNDLY grateful for.
